Business Women Australia and Torrens University Australia have awarded the scholarship which was made available to support the learning and development, network connections and career goals of Australian women in business.
Jessica Schubert and Lyn Hawkins of Business Women Australia, together with Jessica Pankiw of Torrens University Australia, announced the 2020 recipient of the full Scholarship as Kylie Clarke, director of Evise, who has chosen to pursue an MBA.
Kylie’s pitch, like many of the others submitted, moved and inspired the panel of judges, as well as bringing some laughter.
She spoke about the difference between a job and a career, describing a job as “just over broke” and the strength and courage it took for her to move from her job to “embark on a career.”
Kylie reflects the Business Women Australia values of collaboration and collective, and considers it a life goal to “become an ambassador for all other women to follow their heart, follow their true calling and follow their passion so that they too can make a difference in this world.”

With a background of over 15 years in events, communications and membership at not-for-profit medical college The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR), in April 2019 Kylie left her well-paid, well-respected job which she loved and dived headfirst into the world of small business, creating event-tech and event management consultancy start-up Evise in Melbourne with her business partner.
Kylie’s career aspiration is to give back to the system that gave her the opportunity by empowering, growing, and mentoring other women. She plans to become an ambassador for all other women to follow their heart, follow their true calling, and follow their passion so that they too can make a difference in the world.
